Go beyond the basics in TerraFlex!

In this GoToTraining, we will show you how to:

  • Integrate sensors (Rangefinders & Utility locaters)
  • Leverage conditional attributing (rules)
  • Leverage breadcrumb logging (CSVs) to produce GIS data
  • Annotate/edit photos in the field in TerraFlex
  • Use the 2D navigation, and finally, review the workflow to perform offline GNSS processing (differential correction) with TerraFlex Premium.

Trimble TerraFlex Advanced Workflows
GoToTraining Full Agenda

  • Brief Introductions for everyone on the GoToTraining.
  • Briefly Review agenda together.
  • Discuss supported operating systems (Android, iOS, Windows), TerraFlex versions, and TerraFlex licensing, as well as any caveats.
  • Discuss supported Bluetooth sensors (rangefinders & utility locaters) in TerraFlex, as well as any caveats surrounding the operating system and type of Bluetooth sensor.
  • Run through external Bluetooth sensor integration workflow for both rangefinders and utility locaters.
    • Discuss Distance-Bearing & Distance-Distance offsets when using a rangefinder with TerraFlex and the sensor hardware requirements to do so.
    • Build out Template for your point feature in TerraFlex on Connect in order to support rangefinder or utility locater sensor
    • Bluetooth attribution.
    • Discuss the attributes that can sent via bluetooth from a rangefinder (offset location and heights) and utility locater (Depth, signals, frequencies, modes, amperage, signal strength, phase, and gain [dB]).
    • Show the in-field use of a Bluetooth rangefinder in TerraFlex for iOS using the TruPulse 200x rangefinder from Laser Technology, Inc.
    • Review the in-field steps of using a utility locator with TerraFlex for Android
  • Discuss and run through the workflow for conditional attributing (rule-based attribution).

    • Show how to enable breadcrumb logging in the TerraFlex App.
    • Show how to leverage the resulting CSVs that get sent up to TerraFlex on Connect.
  • Discuss how to annotate images/photos in TerraFlex, as well as editing (crop, markup, adjust, etc.) said images.
  • Discuss and run through the workflow to perform offline (automatic) GNSS processing (differential correction) with TerraFlex Premium.
    • Discuss best field practices when using offline GNSS processing w/ TerraFlex Premium.
    • Discuss caveats surrounding the offline GNSS processing workflow.
