What is VRS (network)
corrections services/RTKNet?:

Imagine you’re using a GPS device to find your location. Normally, a GPS device can get you close, but it might still be off by several feet. For tasks like land surveying, and GIS field mapping you need much more accuracy than that…

01

That’s where “Network Correction Services” come in. They use a network of fixed, known reference points (super accurate GPS stations) spread out over a region(s). These stations constantly send out correction signals to improve the accuracy of your GPS device.

02

In the case of GNSS Corrections they correct the signals from various satellite systems (like GPS, GLONASS, Galileo) to give you a pinpoint location, often within a centimeter.

03

AllTerra Central’s Network Correction Services (RTKNet) is a technology that uses a virtual reference point(s) near your location, so your device gets real-time corrections tailored to your location. This means you get super accurate positioning, which is crucial for land surveying, construction, and many other applications.
