If you missed our latest VRS meeting and happy hour at the TSPS conference, we wanted to send everyone a VERY abbreviated copy of the presentation with the announcements we made this year, following up on our 2024 promises to upgrade the AllTerra VRS network.
As promised, we improved the network by:
- Installing $85,000 worth of new servers for the VRS network
- Updating Trimble Pivot software to the latest version of VRS software
- Installing 85 new Alloy Receivers to the network, 1 year ahead of schedule.
The benefits are increased satellite counts, increased precision on the ground, and BeiDou coverage in 3 of our major markets. South Texas, El Paso, and Oklahoma are next, we should have large chunks of the state covered as we move forward.
With these benefits, and according to the plan we laid out in 2023, we are once again increasing VRS rates from $750 to $1000 per year moving forward. This increase was a planned stair-step increase announced in 2023 to allow the overhaul of the network.
Chance Alford, Mo Forshee, and Mike Cloud are all working hard to continue the improvement of the system. Please get with your local sales or tech support specialist to find out how to re-configure your Trimble Access software on your data collector to take advantage of these upgrades.
